Mizoram FC Signs Two Manipuri Players in Off-Season Transfer Window

Mizoram FC has signed two Manipuri footballers during the current transfer window, the I-League club announced, continuing a pattern of Northeast clubs recruiting heavily from the region’s talent pool even as Manipur’s own football infrastructure has been strained by the conflict.

Club officials praised the technical quality of both signings, saying displaced training conditions in parts of Manipur had not diminished the players’ development. Football observers in the region noted that several Manipuri players have relocated to train and compete elsewhere in the Northeast in recent years, citing more stable access to facilities.

The Manipur Football Association said it hoped to see continued investment in home-state infrastructure to reduce the need for players to leave in search of stable training environments.
